At first i was like maybe they will update it so you can run the switch off the joycon batteries but looking closer at it, its basically a thicker bastardized version of the joycon strap. That’s so weird, I honestly cant picture a single scenario where you would need this accessory.

Anybody remember the release of the ps4 and how everyone kept reporting dead on arrival consoles? This is just the vocal minority, I bet it’s less than 10,000 consoles that came out bad from the factory

Maybe, just maybe, nintendo hid some decent batteries inside the joy-cons and when plugged in they sort of boost the tablet, they have independent batteries already, would have been a smart idea to make them run in parallel to boost the mAh total of the device.
