I don’t know either. Honestly, to me, it’s a throw in for Argentina. Neuer touched the ball first before contact with Higuain.

I’m certainly not a Higuain apologist, but I will never understand how he was judged to have fouled Neuer on that play.
Not in a clear cut sort of way, no.
Aguero has had niggling health issues the past few years that have kept him from playing an entire season, but (admittedly as a MCFC fan) he and Suarez are the best pure finishers in the world. Messi and Ronaldo are better all-around players but given a ball and a sliver of daylight in the box, he’s right up there.…
Kun is better, but fuck did he blow a great open look towards the end of regular time. Messi and Higuain are eating all the shit but he really should’ve scored.
What do you expect to happen when you take a French guy and put him in an Argentina shirt?
His season in Italy was impressive, but he simply isn’t the same striker for his country and should not be starting over Aguero. Between the last World Cup & this year’s Copa, Higuain appeared in 19 matches for Argentina and scored 5 goals (2 vs Hong Kong, 1 vs Paraguay, 1 vs Jamaica, and 1 vs Honduras). Over that…
Friend who doesn’t watch soccer: “What’s the deal with this Higuain guy? I need context.”
God, I can’t believe he didn’t sign for Arsenal a few years back. They’re like a match made in choking heaven.
HA. I know it’s much much much harder in the moment, but if he lets the ball just roll after his last touch before the shot it looks like it likely gets past the goalie and he’s got an open goal to shoot at from a not-that-bad angle.
Yeah but can we talk about the Chilean defender smacking into the post? That was pure slapstick.
