You know what’s interesting? I have not seen ONE OUNCE of disclosure on either Polygon or The Verge about Casey Wasserman. Someone should really do something about that, only I refuse to comment on their articles on principle based on emails I had with the EOC of The Verge. (long story)

I’m not surprised. I’ve worked with websites for a long time and I’ve had a few clients who think the best approach to compete is to simply copy. Copy designs, text, layouts, etc. There’s bound to be one or two in any industry.

I’m stupidly excited about remasters/reissues this week.
Horizon 3's Hot Wheels DLC was probably the most gleeful fun my buddies and I have ever had with a game. We screamed like little kids when you first enter the area and fly around on the orange tracks, it’s so good. Other than that, the games have always been fun for a few hours but I never actually see them to the end.
There’s another aspect to the situation though where the old ‘spark’ and beloved games were built atop a pile of sexism and crunch conditions. (Also probably true across the industry.) Everyone gets excited when ex-Blizzard devs announce a new game studio, but I don’t just want them to go back to the ‘spark’ that made…

I started a new job recently, and one of the few coworkers around my age (25-35 age range) told me all he did after work was “Sell NFTs”, and I had to really bite my tongue from laughing out loud. He showed me some on his phone and they all looked terrible.
I don’t think I’ll last at this job.
I love that every time blockchain enthusiasts are criticized, they declare that it is all due to them being a “threat to the status quo”, and “closed platforms” with “walled gardens” see them as a threat to the established order.
