Hillary tried to do single payer back in the 90's and again in the 2000's with the help of Ted Kennedy, and guess what, congress and the American people shut it down.

The article you read must not have been complete, which makes sense, since it’s difficult to include every issue in a single article. Here’s a link directly from her website regarding her plans for healthcare reform. Not universal single payer, but further healthcare reforms certainly are on the list of what she hopes

It’s a formality at this point and you know it. DEAL WITH IT.

It’s over dude. It’s over. The convention at this point is a FORMALITY. You know it. Bernie knows it. Either put up or shut up.

tbh the only reason Sanders GOT this far in the first place is that the popular nominee was a woman. i’m glad he moved the party platform to the left, but at this point, it seems like he’s less about what the people want and more about what he wants. :(

He believes his own press. That the will of the people is being suppressed. Did he ever show his tax records by the way?

Agreed. It’s really similar to how Republicans say “let the people choose” for anything, which is code for “we’re not doing anything until after the presidential election.” Which is just hilarious because the people DID choose. And they didn’t choose you.

He’s been dog-whistling hard about how her wins are illegitimate because “the system is rigged,” and now his supporters have picked it up and run with it in a big way—alleging Clinton only won because she perpetrated massive voter fraud, etc. It’s really gross.

Agreed. We all have that one annoying friend on social media who continues to post lists of reasons why Clinton is the worst person ever to have walked the face of the earth, and pining Bernie4evah memes. I have at least two of those friends and I’m not American.

He’s a Dem candidate. He lost. If he wants to continue to run, then he needs to renounce the party he is a candidate for.

I’m a big Bernie supporter and phonbanked for him and everything. But it does go against what he claimed to stand for. The people have spoken, now let us unite behind our actual candidate. He’s not serving anything but his own ego by staying in.

Absolutely. Sanders has never been the selfless deity his supporters wanted to beleive him to be. He's an ego driven political animal who wants to win because he wants to win. He always has been.

A million stars for this. No, a gazillion stars. You are right. This isn't the will of the people, this is ego and a career politician doing whatever it takes to keep his name in the press.

I was having a debate in step with this the other night. My main point is that it’s troubling that Sanders is continuing a campaign supposedly to exercise the will of the people, but the people have spoken and they didn’t pick him. To continue on with this just shows he’s not really that different from every other old
