@zdevex: My grandmother has been using it for over a year now with no problems, and recently when my grandfather's Windows PC died he started using her Linux machine too (I had the foresight to give him his own login, luckily).

@techfox: Finally, someone gives a good argument for the thing. Small touch devices like that would make a lot of sense for it, though native would still likely be better (but not always available or viable). Sketching something out and then throwing it online somewhere to access later is actually a good, practical…
@praetorian: Just wanted to add that there's a more concise write-up of what Dell did wrong here:
The Economist has a better write-up than the one linked by Giz, in my opinion. For anyone interested, it can be found here:
@praetorian: It's a lot different, actually. Others have covered the problems on Dell's side pretty well.
@flux: You're just holding it wrong.
@goaliegeek: You just don't "get" it. Any problems in the business world ultimately end at "not enough marketing".
@valdesjon: I had a high school teacher that was like that. Funny enough, I believe he used to be a professor. He taught a computer class, but I learned more about mathematics in his one class than I did from all of the teachers that got paid to teach the subject, combined.
@Arcitens: Yeah, but this isn't algebra, and in regard to Unix-like systems, X has a very specific meaning. It's probably the single worst example name you could give.
@Michael Li: Not sure. Probably not, though. I've actually seen a few but they're very rudimentary, such as the one LH featured a while back, called FlockDraw.
@Agrippa: That's no fun, though. This is a great opportunity to make tasteless jokes for cheap laughs.
@aThingOrTwo: I think most sites do it because they either cover only one thing, or don't bother to use anything new. Hell, the only reason OS X gets coverage in a lot of places (other than Mac-only sites) is because of one or two die-hard fans on staff. That's the kind of thing I hate, even from Linux sites (which…
@Zanzan42: Depending on who you ask, it either needs to go "to eleven" or needs to be "kicked up a notch"
@sweetelectro: Yeah, comparing the two is an insult to Steve. He made the iPhone, for God's sake. What did Jesus do? Pfft.
@MaliciousH: an iPhony one, even.
@aThingOrTwo: I can't tell if you're trolling or if you're honestly reading something into my comment that I didn't say at all.
@Dwayne Harris: Except it's not necessarily just "I hate it because it's different!" The problem here is that while some of the interface change is good, there is a lot that sucks about it.
@sheerz: Hey that'd be a great thing to see ported to odd places: Fallout 1 and 2. The interface would probably translate well to touch devices.
@Jason Fitzpatrick: Cool. Was kidding about the rage, of course. I saw the screenshots and immediately recognised the levels and had a "wait, what?" moment.
