@mikeman06: It apparently doesn't completely kill the signal, so if there's a strong signal at their HQ (and it seems odd to expect otherwise) it might never have come up.
I thought the same thing almost immediately, so I'm not surprised it's started showing up in media outlets already.
@indranil1703: You're an evil, evil person if you think that's a good feature.
@Patrick Hogan: If the distance is great enough and you have a lot to move, it might be smarter financially to use a freight service like ABF. ABF, at least, charges by how much truck you use, up to a maximum value (I believe it was something like a $900 maximum when I looked at it last). They drop the trailer off…
@adamharlow001: Nope, it's the opposite. It gives you the authentic World Cup experience in any video.
@indranil1703: It's supposed to be a soccer/football (whatever term you prefer) and it's a joke feature that blasts vuvuzela buzzes over whatever video you're watching.

@Tycho Vhargon: This depends a lot on the area you're in and the type of restaurant, I think. In some places I've lived, ice is loaded to the top universally in restaurants, while in others you barely get any with your drink.
@illegal3alien: You should probably look into ways to fix the airflow problem. Pulling the case off and pointing a fan at it is an excellent temporary solution, but long-term it means more crap will get into the case and dust will accumulate faster.
@negative13: That motherboard apparently only had a "warning beep" option for high temperatures and didn't actually shut anything off. It probably beeped plaintively but no one was around to hear the cries before it met its fiery doom.
@TomXP411: The quoted statement probably assumes airflow is set up well and the case fans are functioning properly, which isn't always true.

@prupert: I think recent versions default to GPU acceleration, though it's a pain in the ass to get to the settings to check. Seems like most Flash animations won't let you actually view settings, though Youtube does. You probably already know this, but for reference: load a YT video and check (via rightclick >…
@SkelatorDan: All I could see were the two googly eyes and head shape. My sixty second work of art there was just to illustrate the point. ;D
This is what I keep seeing: a crazy guy named Venn.
@prupert: Weird. I use Debian testing on a laptop (64bit) and a PC (32bit/PAE) both with 4g RAM and similar enough CPU speeds (one Intel one AMD). PC is using Nvidia GPU, laptop has Intel integrated, and they've both been rock solid with it.
@Michael Scrip: I think the "Live" part is being increasingly used to mean that a show was recorded in front of a live audience rather than the "it's being aired right now, directly" meaning it's traditionally had.
