There is a French show called Engrenages aka Spiral and it’s had two year gaps in between seasons and it’s a cop/law/courts drama. Look at Game of Thrones or Westworld or American Gods which all have long gaps between seasons. This is the norm for most TV (unless it’s American broadcast network shows).

Dolly and her husband Carl have been married since 1966 when she was 20 and he was 24 and they are a fantastic couple.
