I think I read in another article that they’re Wagyu cattle (which I learned today just means “cow” in Japanese). Looking at the size description in Wikipedia for Japanese black cattle, I feel like they’re smaller than the average idea of what “cow-sized” is.

There was a show in the UK called Time Team which was actually pretty interesting TV!  Even when they were just digging up someone’s back yard because they found a Roman coin or something.  Add Megan Fox for some window dressing and I can see the appeal.

Yes!  They’re great!  I use them as grocery bags, carry stuff around bags, laundry baskets, you name it.

A proper flu is SO MUCH WORSE than a cold. I usually get my shot and am the crazy lady with the disinfectant wipes on the plane and hand sanitizer all day every day (also obviously hand washing) to try to minimise risk, but I got caught out a few years ago and came down with the flu from hell. I was out cold for a

That’s proper extravagant!  I bought my husband a super luxe watch for his 40th and no ragrets either.

Holidays is where we go all out. The rest of the year is reasonable, but man fancy flights and fancy hotel digs is what I work my ass off for.

Oh man. They had the same layout at my local IKEA for literal decades so when I popped in to buy new seat cushions I was like “OK, ground floor, cut through the kitchen and carpets bits, get your cushions and GTFO”. But no. They had REORGANISED the layout. I had no idea where anything was and it was SO frustrating!

Drinkable, but low quality.  So think repackaged cheap wine then sold at a maaaassive premium, and a bunch of people with money than sense fawning over it.

I’ll have to check it out!

Something like that! Sour Grapes is an amazing documentary about counterfeit wines and the whole smarmy BS of this particular market. The Koch guy is in it and a good chunk of his cellar was counterfeit when he had an investigator come around.

I killed mine in spring and I mostly don’t miss it, with the exception of the “events” thing.  Everyone and their dog uses fb events to organise stuff and it’s annoying as hell.  Even then, I don’t miss it enough to go back.

I’ve ended up with a 1 series as a rental multiple times, and it’s honestly totally OK and surprisingly spacious. As you say, even with not a whole lot in them, they’re good rides. And honestly, in my market at least, competitively priced with Golfs, so *shrug*.

Runs away screaming forever.

Definitely! Didn’t mean my comment to read as disagreement.

Mingle with the unwashed masses??? Whatever next! Jeeves, fetch my smelling salts!

Regarding your a) and b) probably?

Yep. I mean, I’d rather call my kid Harland than a LOT of other names. I kind of like it? Better than the Peyton, Cayden, Ayden, Hayden etc varieties or even super normal names like Daniel or Robert. Maybe I’m missing something?

Probably just dropping them episode by episode?  We get the same here on the other side of the pond with US series that are broadcast via Netflix here.  So if Show A has an ep every Sunday, we might start to see that week’s ep in Netflix on Tuesdays or something.

It’s just so 20th century. Ugh!

Yeah, it’s really tricky. On one hand, you it’s important to highlight the edits, but on the other the obsessive nitpicking is not actually helpful either.  And then having open comments it always a nightmare.  I can definitely see the benefits, but so much of it has to do where you as an individual already stand in
