HOSTS file. Google it. You’ve already got one on your PC: copy/paste a list of domains you want to sh*t-can, save, done. Since it redirects network traffic without the use of a browser plugin, it’s impossible to get around unless the domain serving the ad isn’t in the sites list, and it’s just a second’s typing to put

A HOSTS file should be your first line of defense. Having an up to date HOSTS file makes a lot of these kinds of plug-ins unnecessary. Google “block unwanted connections with a hosts file”, click on the first link you see. Seriously, it couldn’t be easier.
