Yeah and I think A LOT of parents are about to get a rude wake-up call to this. For the past 18 months, everyone was in the same boat. Schools were closed, childcare was closed, kids were learning from home...companies were very understanding. They won’t be in the near future.

This is actually really nice.  We use the GSuite at my workplace and being able to add a status message, just for vacation purposes, is really helpful.  Along with putting which site I am currently at.

I laughed really hard at this exchange:

I had an ex that went from not wanting kids to wanting them, it’s one of the main reasons we broke up. It was totally her right to change that opinion but one of the reasons she did was she “was scared of who would take care of me when I’m older”.

Good for her for pulling herself out and putting her mental health first....

Money can’t buy you happiness but I’d rather cry in my mansion than dance in a box in an alleyway.

She doesn’t have a birth right to be a major label supported musician. You’re exactly right, she could have told them no and they could have said “fine, we won’t sign you”. That’s the literal deal she made: She makes music for them, they pay for it and promote it. She gets paid to make the music and perform the music,

Scooter is probably not that great of a person but Taylor Swift can fuck off. There was no shady shit, she never owned those original recordings, she signed a contract giving up those rights and now cries foul.

This is my biggest thing, she signed a contract giving away her rights to that music. She wasn’t forced or coerced into it, she would have had agent/manager/lawyer/family all look over that first contract and all say “It’s standard for the industry, you won’t own the recordings but you do get to be a music star”.

Or in Canada:

Yeah, like Days Gone is 59 Canadian at release (which is better than 79) but still to much for me. Waiting till it drops to the 30-40 range before I decide to pick it up. Would be the same for this.  I have enough to keep me occupied on PC, I’m not shelling out big money for an older console exclusive. Don’t know why

Ontario, Canada has a “no kids” after 9pm rule. Admittedly, all our bars serve food as well, it is also a legal requirement. Like we had a student club (it opened at 9pm) that sold the cheapest drinks in town and they had little bowls of microwave Kraft Dinner you could buy as their “food”. Of course no one ever

If I understand correctly, complete rights. As in, they could license out what they bought, make copyright strikes, sue people for unauthorized use, etc.

I don’t think you understand how advanced this tech would have to be for the things that are being reported. It’s not like they are just a bit better than what is known, they are several thousands of magnitudes better than what is known.

Prime the patch!

In September 2020 they figured out that to buy the entire steam library (literally everything they sell, though obviously the number is higher now) would cost $536,568.08

It’s the word “confrontational” that is the sticking point. Depending where you land, thats either her saying “stay on the streets, keep your voices heard” or “If found not guilty - fuck things up”.

I know of one couple who has and continues to do it successfully. They’ve been together for 20 years, been in an open relationship for 15 of them and seem very happy. I know it can work, it just won’t for the vast majority of people.
