That’s a great example, except it’s about 12 cylinders short of being a V12.

Yeah sure, if Ford try to sell Small Electric Cars in Japan or other countries
Seriously? Way too many miles. I’ll pass.
Exactly. But there is hope.
Ford also hopes that this time it will get the initial build quality for a new model launch right…
While there is a demand for nicely-kept S2000s, asking $24K for a car with 212,000 miles is a BIG ask.
A quick search shows I can get a car with 100,000 miles or so for similar money, and somewhere between 60-100,000 for a few grand more.
If it were in Canuck-bucks, I’d say go for it.
For one model year they will then they will jack up the price and make fancy luxury packages practically mandatory add ons and make them crazy expensive.
I really hope Fisker gets its issues sorted out or finds a good buyer. They seem to be really trying to make and sell actual cars, but don’t have the funding it requires. Probably because investors have been spooked by the many EV startups that turned out to be vaporware, and now they’re keeping away from anything at…
Talk about a magic phrase when buying a used vehicle, “a one-owner car” is it. Proof of the car being well maintained all those years are more points in its favor. But mileage that gets you withing spitting distance of the Moon is not that cool.
Oh, the humanity!!! Auto manufacturers now have to compete in a marketplace with affordable options... Seriously though, even if BYD and their like are tariffed to the max, they can still sell a large volume of units at an absurdly low price and do some major damage.
I understand that market on these things is a little loopy, but no. A quick search on Cargurus gave me several hits within a morning’s drive with prices of roughly 20-25K with most having significantly less than half mileage.
ND because nicer ones sell for less than this. An AP2 with similar miles in nicer condition would be able to maybe get this price, but not an AP1.
Did they remember the price has to be small too?
A reasonable market price for this is around $18K. It’s condition might get it to $20K. $24K is way beyond what this can bring. There are too many available to be able to sell this at the mileage for this price. ND
Nice car, but priced way too high for the miles. My experience says the engine might have 30-40K left before the head gasket goes.
Drive one at highway speeds, see the constant rpm and drone of the engine. Weekend canyon carver only and still overpriced.
Now this is going to be against the popular flow like a salmon past the bear in a waterfall, but hear me out.
