The V6 kept weight down while making the same power.

Fisker is a startup, they are going through pretty normal startup problems. Their issue is that instead of a basically empty market, like Tesla had when they were still in ‘startup’ territory, they are competing with most major automakers.
The $39k one is absolutely affordable, by the standards of being a below average-priced car. Adjusted for inflation this is cheaper than the $35k Model 3 Tesla promised years ago and never delivered.
Not in any way surprising. The Ocean was a popular display at the Toronto Autoshow a couple weeks ago. Maybe it was because most of the interesting automakers skipped the show? There were a lot of people that seemed oblivious to the likelihood that Fisker goes bankrupt. There is actual choice in EVs right now. Why…
No way is the Enzo “one of the dumbest looking cars of all time”. It may not be the best looking Ferrari evar, but that wasn’t the question. It’s better-looking than the F50, at the very least. And BTW, how is the Pontiac Asstek not on this list?
Space limitations [...] demanded the more modern and efficient V6.
The dumbest thing about that statement is the balance sheet as a whole never loses or gains a cent no matter what. It’s called a balance sheet because all transactions always balance to zero in the balance sheet in a double-entry accounting system.
There will be no Enzo slander here!
That sets a dangerous precedent for paying lawyers. Even if the company is still in the green, a 6 Billion dollar payout is insane for legal services. Even 1 billion is crazy high for any company to incur for one issue.
The anti-Musk lawyers: “You want chutzpah!?!? We’ll lay down chutzpah like you’ve never seen before!!!”
My parents just put in a new rear diff in their 2014 3.6 CTS at 55k miles
COTD!

When you burn – or combust – ethanol (C2H5OH) in air (which contains oxygen, O2), the final products obtained are carbon dioxide gas (CO2) and water (H2O). So yeah way more CO2 is emitted.
We’ve replaced the odd rear diff. on these model CTS (and ATS). Some caused by low fluid thanks to rear axle seal leak issues and others just....went.
No. Only the 1st gen CTS-V had the axle hopping issue.
Since the CTS-V puts down 420 HP at the rear wheels, I’m going to say yes.
1st gear, battery cars present a unique firefighting challenge because there’s no good way to put out a burning lithium battery short of dunking the car in a water tank. Bloviating in Congress won’t fix it the NFPA might.
Yep, exactly. We have so much rural area in this country that full-time fire fighters just can’t work and we are now expecting volunteers to take car of it on most likely minimal budgets. Honestly, I think just trying to move a burning EV away from anything and letting it burn is the best way. Although environmentally,…
