That’s why they are basically a third world country. Sell them....make money and get tax revenues from the new and legal buyers but heck that makes too much sense.

welp.... its nothing the nypd wouldnt do

Yeah, I chuckled about Toyota, the Japanese corporation that now keeps 40% more of it’s earnings from operations in America, a tidy $2.6 billion, which was needed to make it competitive with corporations from around the world, right?

But their friends need tax cuts, and the orange bozo wants a wall built.

That useless border wall isn’t paying for itself you know?

Can we stop equating the train that hit a truck with the other accidents? There is almost no occasion where a train hitting anything that isn’t supposed to be on the tracks is the train operators fault, baring a signal/barrier malfunction. And given I don’t believe Amtrak owned those tracks, still not Amtrak’s problem.

It’s the same kind of “bad luck” a junkie homeless person who often ends up in jail for petty theft talks about.

Three Amtrak derailments in what, two months?

But yeah Amtrak doesn’t need any more funding. In fact, we should continue further cutting it’s already tiny budget. Surely that will prevent future catastrophes.

This is what happens when federal funds are heavily diverted to military spending and everything else is cut.

Acela makes the money, but that doesn’t mean it gets reinvested there. Instead it goes to subsidize the congressionally mandated cross country routes, that have been rendered obsolete by air travel.

Must give them a lot of time to work on their dance moves...

The thing about that V4 is that its output is pretty modest - 55hp or so in the “big” 1.7. But there’s rodders for pretty much every engine ever made and the Sonnett and related 96 with their vivid racing history (especially on ice) attracted a range of wildeyed enthusiasts, and bumping your engine up to 100hp is

We do have Opel and Vauxhall, but nobody ever viewed the Chevy “brand” as being their equal. They were always the budget option. And if you’re a budget option compared to a Vauxhall, you might as well be dirt on someone’s shoe*.

*ok so that is a bit dramatic, but some people did genuinely think this.

It will be interesting to see if GM follows Ford’s lead in marketing the Mustang (which I believe has been a bit of a hit) in Europe.

Looks like there is only one dealer, the rest are service only. And the one dealer only sells Camaros, Corvettes and Cadillacs (mostly Escalades looks like). Here’s the dealer site: https://www.ianallanvirginiawater.co.uk

Actually looking at the small print only one actually sells the others are appointed servicing agents. The selling agent is also a Cadillac and Ssangyong dealer.

If yesterday’s seller, like today’s, had been offering two cars at that price, the vote would have been a lot different.

correct. The V-4 went 4 stroke. Originally made by ford so parts should be easier to find

The SAAB triples were 2-strokes. I thought the Taunus V4 engines were 4-strokes.

Okay. These are clearly project cars, but... they’re so simple.
