What’s so crazy about this though is that they are basically the most expensive bikes on the market. They have a few offerings that aren’t super expensive, but it’s all at minimum top third in pricing I would say.

I have extensively researched HD’s products to determine that they are, in fact, a poor value when compared against the competition. I am not actually a clown, so I’m uncertain if you meant for only actual professional clowns to respond. But that’s my personal experience.

After having a laugh at your comment, I did a stupid thing and googled “Donald Trump motorcycle”

You know what though, this does remind me (somewhat) of Porsche in the early nineties. They tried for a generation to replace the air cooled and flawed 911 but failed with things like the 928 and 924 etc and they were too scared to make even minor changes to that car or the brand. why? Because Porschophiles would

I agree with all of the above and:

I’ve honestly spent probably 200x the time in motorcycle dealers simply because a car that wasn’t a family/friend special, or some clanky thing from a guy’s front yard wasn’t a possibility for most of my life.

Please tell me it was available in S trim so I can buy a GRACIA S

No chance it saves the brand man. Not when they price it the way harley prices things, and not with the way they’ve always marketed themselves. Fucking “hardcore harley” type guys won’t even ride a vrod, they’re sure as hell not gonna get on something that looks like a chopped down ducati.

Every model has it’s ups and downs :P

And when you go into the dealership to look at one, they ask you “Oh, is it for your wife, or your boyfriend?” because that’s what passes for funny/salesmanship there.

The company hitched their entire image to scowling boomer pricks, their finances to dentists in leather-daddy drag on the weekends, and their public relations to BUY THIS BIKE 2 PISS OFF TEH LIBZ #MAGA

Its looked stupid since day 1. Buell was a skunkworks to be different and innovate. They had an R&D branch that could have funded itself and they tossed it.

Can’t get the Mexican’s to pay for it?

Eliminating the Buell line, which appealed to younger buyers with less disposable income, is looking pretty stupid in retrospect.

I would build a great motorcycle, and nobody builds motorcycles better than me, believe me, and I’ll build them very inexpensively, I will build a great, great motorcycle in our York factory. And I will have blowhard retirees pay for those motorcycles. Mark my words.

But.... Does it come with a fez?

I’m going on the record as um… yeah, you know what? I dig it.

Not sure where you’re getting your numbers from, but a base 4 cyl, 4-spd auto has an MSRP of $22,495. Top of the line GT with v-6 starts at $34,395. I’m not defending the Journey since I’ve never driven one, but that $36k didn’t sound quite right.

Because this car was more comfortable than any of those you listed and just as reliable when taken care of?

I imagine Auburn Hills might have gotten a thank you note or two from the dealers when Chrysler replaced the Dynasty with this:
