Old Man’s Journey is an adventure game about shifting painterly landscapes to solve puzzles. Its story focuses on themes of life, loss, and hope, and it’s being developed by a studio that helped make games like And Yet it Moves, Secrets of Raetikon, and Guacamelee. It’ll be out sometime this year.

Oh they will as they love to steal Nintendo’s ideas. As usual though, there is a 95% chance they will totally miss the point and screw it up. (See the Kinect, ps move, ect, ect.)

So does this mean Kojima’s going to port his games for the Nintendo Switch because if so that’d just give me more of an incentive to buy it. It’s not that I hate the PS4 or anything it’s just that I never liked the placement of the left analog stick on the Playstation controllers. It just doesn’t feel like a place one…

I think that the big problem with transferring was that it was great in theory, but in reality you still needed two devices, two copies of the same game for those systems, and for the developers and publishers to put in the extra work on their end

Gamers are always pissed about everything and anything.

If the online ecosystem sucks, people are going to be angry with nintendo even if it is a dollar a month.

I knew this was going to be the case. People kept freaking out, thinking this service would cost as much as PSN or Xbox LIVE, but I had a strong feeling Nintendo was going to charge only $20 for the year.

The opposite argument is that by adding voice chat etc to the Switch you’re running multiple processes at the same time and draining its battery further. I get why it would be fiddly, but when you think about it complaining that we have to use our phones to talk to people is sort of redundant :)

It seems like Jalopnik has become an echo chamber for political views that ignore both sides of an argument and agree with whatever MSNBC said this morning. I liked it more when it was about cars. I’ll take my clicks elsewhere so someone else can make their fractions of a penny on my viewership.
