It seems to be full plastic, if it starts burning your hands it has in fact melted. Also consider your hand will be on the controllers which will be separate anyway so too hot to handle shouldn’t be an issue. I think if it’s passive heat dissipation, battery should be alright.

Conceivably all they would need to do is give it a decent (~5 hour) battery life, and then allow for it to be charged through battery packs. Give it those two things and they should be fine
