Actually, sort of the opposite — Lincoln's a brand I'd like to see make a comeback, since they have such a fantastic history. I just don't think this car is exactly the way to get to where they need to be. I feel like they need something to really set them apart from the pack, and this one's not doing that.
I guess I should start by saying there's nothing wrong with the Lincoln MKC. I had one over the holidays, I drove…
I have a friend with a 997.2 GT3 and he's laughing all the way to the bank because he's got a 6spd. And I have to say, it's marvelous to drive.
We'd be rich as fuck...then we could make a book, and a movie, and we'd be famous as well. We really are full of good ideas honestly.
I think from what I'm hearing, the next Panamera will get two or three versions...swb and lwb in a more traditional sedan shape...and then a "sport turismo" wagon like that concept. Which is sexy.
In all honesty, since I'll probably never own one, I don't directly have a problem with it...however, when porsche pulls these kinds of stunts, it sends shockwaves into the market for used 911's, and that market is quickly getting beyond my reach.
"The year is 2019. Inexplicably, E36 M3s have been setting auction records all over. Today, at Barret-Jackson, we have a gorgeous M3 sedan, Techno-Violet over cream leather, with a manual gearbox. It's expected to fetch $5-7.5 million."
This is key...but I have a feeling it won't be.
"Hi my name is Rusto and Chris Bangle has a restraining order against me!"
Thanks! I figure someone has to steward these things for the next generation, and I guess I'm crazy / obsessed enough to raise my hand.
Manuel, do you have stats on that? I simply can't find any sales of some of the colors (Prugna, Blue Sera, Verde Chiaro, etc.), so I suspect that some of these will command pretty high prices if one came up.
I should do that...but I think he lives in CA haha. So you should!
And here I was, willing to blame the dealers...
Yeah, perfect combo. Also - the Diablo is so hot in Japan...I know I should hate this but I love it.
