Your article was titled “How to Help Trans Children, According to Pediatricians”, thus I assumed it was about trans children.

Second, I am uncomfortable with labeling a child “gender diverse” because he has a princess phase at age 3. The implication is still that “real boys don’t have princess phases”. 

I am fairly certain I have heard of CPS taking kids away if you prevent children, CHILDREN, from receiving these hormone treatments. I am all for children being who they are and being accepting of that, but if you want hormone therapy to become a different gender, go ahead and pay for it when you turn 18. 

This is creepy as fuck. Children don’t need to be worrying about this nonsense.

Anyone else cringe at “puberty delaying hormones”?

Young children do not have the same concept of gender as adults do. A young boy who thinks that princesses are pretty and trucks are boring may think that he is a girl because he has it in his head that only girls can like princesses.

There is no evidence that any of these “delaying” treatments are safe, and at least some subjects of the treatments have been unable to fully transition later because the delaying hormones left them with underdeveloped micro-genitalia that don’t have enough tissue for a successful transition surgery. How on earth can society recognize that children lack the mental faculty to consent to sexual activity, but also possess the mental faculty to make decisions that will irreparably muck up their development and cause consequences that will affect the rest of their lives?

So when a six-year-old tells you they want to grow up to be a stegosaurus, you ignore them because it’s meaningless garbage just like most of what comes out of their mouths, but if they make any noises about wanting to be the other gender, you’re supposed to stop everything and transition them immediately?

Mucking around with childrens’ development for the sake of social media wokeness points is just...criminal irresponsibility. Child abuse. I can’t believe we’re even having this conversation.

Don’t get me wrong, I support everyone’s freedom to chose and do whatever they want. But when you deal with children you can’t suppose what they know and what they are thinking.

Parents who use hormone-blockers on their children are committing abuse. So are those parents whose children want to use hormone-blockers but refuse to.

Yes. Don’t insist that your kid needs a diagnosis because they don’t conform to a stereotype. Maybe just love them for who they are and help them build confidence in themselves, and work with them if they reach emotional maturity and decide they need a physical change.
