TBH I don’t think most ADV riders that actually do extended trips. They actually make great commuter bikes. The upright riding position is comfortable and great in traffic, and luggage options let you get groceries or run other miscellaneous errands.

Why would you ever buy any piece of technology when you could wait a few years and have a better version for the same price?

That whole industry needs to die anyway.  Even without a pandemic those things are public health nightmares.  Notorious pollutors and tax dodgers to boot.
