Is it just me or does an electric truck just make all kinds of sense? You have this elongated body and high riding position that just seems perfect for concealing a huge battery. Then you get all the torques but without the wonky weight distribution issues of normal pickups.

Just get a Forester XT or maybe one of the new turbo CX-5's.  There’s no point getting anything super nice because a kid is just going to absolutely destroy it.  You can also get the Flex with a 365hp twin-turbo but then you have to drive a Flex.

There is a point at which you have so much money, spending it wisely is no longer important. Wage gap keeps increasing, rich get richer, more people out there that can’t figure out what to do with their cash.

I’d rather something like this than just another lifted hatchback with plastic fenders, and tbh it makes more sense to do this on smaller models with shorter wheelbases than something gigantic like the 4runner.

Oh yeah I definitely want to drop $70k on a vehicle built with that famous Italian “give a shit” attitude.  If you want something that’s crazy fun and sounds great but is guaranteed to break down, you could just get 3 500 Abarths for the same cash.  That way you can drive one while the other two are in the shop.
