Yeah, rural PA born and raised here and this:

Some of Phil Hartman’s SNL stuff like “Reagan the Mastermind” were genuinely funny and remain so long after Reagan himself rotted away.

Not to nitpick but ‘serial’ requires a series.

Meh. No one is perfect.

I’ve been back in the gym for 2 months now. Normally about 10 of us in a gym built for, at a guess, 40 Even with only 10 in, it’s hard to stay even 2m apart, the free weights and squat rack are tightly packed. I’m the only mask wearer of the regulars, the rest of whom don’t even seem to care.

TBH, the headline “Twitter Shuts Down Entire Network to Prevent Spread of Negative Biden News” is just about Onion-worthy in its construction and logic, although the Onion has an entirely unconcealed liberal bent and they probably wouldn’t target Biden in quite that way.

One bit of faint praise for the Babylon Bee: They seem to be the rare conservative humor site that isn’t using racism, sexism and homophobia as the basis for most of their punchlines. I don’t agree with their point of view but I can read the site without wanting to take a shower immediately afterward.

I saw him play with Stills a long time ago and they started the show with a lecture not to make any noise at all during the songs in order to fully experience them. The guy’s straight-up delusional about the importance of his music.

“Equator People” is quintessential Bill Burr. It’s not derogatory or insulting and completely factually accurate, but someone somewhere will find a way to get their underoos in a bunch about it. That’s a perfect example of what makes him hilarious.

I’m voting 3rd party. Call it a protest vote. I don’t like either candidate and symbolically, why should I vote for someone when I don’t think they’re up for the job? It’s a privilege to vote so I am voting, just not for two people on the ballot. Both sides will say “But you’re just giving a vote to X” but I’m not.

Show me a better, more influential rock guitarist.  And I’m not talking about some classical virtuoso no one’s ever heard of.  I mean someone who could just absolutely bring the heat, wrote great hooks and set the tone for a generation of players.  I’ll wait.

Now playing

I remember thinking it was so cool his wife’s character on One Day At A Time had an Eddie Van Halen poster hanging in her bedroom.

Then fuck off. Fuck all the way off.  Keep fucking off until you hit the water.  And then start swimming.  To France.

The entire Turd/Douche arc in 2016 made it very clear that Garrison-as-Trump was wildly incompetent, narcissistic, and dangerous. The only intelligence he displayed was having the self-awareness to realize he’d be a disaster as President (which is why he’s shown, repeatedly, trying to sabotage his own campaign so

@Nilus

Oh get over yourself my man, you dismissed me for pointing out that just about the only examples of “bothside-ism” anyone ever brings up are two episodes from fifteen years ago.

There are no MAGA chuds on this site and “South Park fanatics” here seemingly refers to “people who actually enjoy watching South

Yeah the South Park guys may be libertarians but they are intelligent ones for the most part.  They know being told to wear a mask to help contain a deadly pandemics being a civil rights violation is not a hill any sane person would want to die on.

Well said. I agree with a lot of Bill Maher’s positions, but definitely not all of them. I also like that he has guests with whom he firmly disagrees and he’s not afraid to tell them that, but he does manage to be respectful and he always allows them to speak their minds.

Bomb?

“The best comedy comes from punching up, not down.”

Who the hell invented this fucking rule?

The best comedy comes from being funny.
