Bezos founded and built the company that his employees work for. Those jobs don’t even exist without him. Some of those jobs are really well-paying tech and sales gigs, some are warehouse jobs that don’t sound like much fun.

All of your examples are company founders. It would be one thing if you listed the CEOs of companies like GE or Exxon Mobil as outlandish. Founders create wealth and jobs which should be encouraged.

The ideal of innovations around convenience was supposed to be: we’ll use that extra time for more productive means. Most of us just sit on our fat asses more.
