As long as they really are "themes" and you are given the choise to keep the old fashioned style and at any given time chose any of those and other layouts I think its brilliant.

Actually the reason I always hated Mortal Kombat was the same reason I loved DoA. Mortal Kombat and even Tekken was the exact opposite of DoA. I honestly don't see them leaving XBLA. Most devs prefer the platform and the publishing boost from MS. Further more they preffer the fact that XBLA sells more than PSN tends to so it would honestly be stupid of them to let go of the service.

Who really cares about the resolution? Most people didn't even know about resolution's significance till an HD TV became mainstream. Some don't even know yet whats the actual resolution and way more wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a 720p & a 1080p image.
