GoT had no more “boobs and blood” than a lot of premium HBO TV, from Deadwood to Rome.

GOT has always got by on the stellar acting from its core cast and a story that keeps people tuning in next week to see what happens to people they’re invested in.

I have to admit, it rings a little hollow when a site that adulates the cabal of Real Housewives thinks it’s an authority on what’s “bad” on tv. Have fun watching Vanderpump Rules guys, I’ll just be over here with the narrative structure and world building.

Near unwatchable

Sounds like the elitist smug is at an all time high. Weekly I go to a bar in Minneapolis and watch the show with about 150 people who like me love the show. I guess its news to me that its become unwatchable. Must be hard to be so ahead of the curve.

Counterpoint: Dragons and monsters and wizards and undead and magic and crazy-huge battles are more interesting than interpersonal connections, so the recent seasons are getting way more entertaining and far more watchable now that the slow-burn of suspense is starting to blaze a little brighter and faster. The end.
