Do I give a fuck?

THE AV CLUB:

In his defense, I sort of feel like all the shittyness of the trilogy was his perverse way of trying to imbue too much meaning and substance into those movies. Like, "You know what hasn't been done? An allegory about how stupid shit like trade federations and boring conversations are often the exact things that lead

If it's on the radio, AVclub automatically despises it. I am not above this line of thinking. For example:

What the hell is wrong with Tommy Lee Jones?

Good shit, Maynard.

Good points. But it makes me wonder, even more, how TASM 1/2 blew it all so badly. Everything that makes the character work is all RIGHT THERE. JUST USE IT FOR GOD'S SAKE.

Ratner's not a great director by any means. But he's perfectly and boringly competent. There's a reason XM:LS is easily his worst movie as well.

The quickest, most possible way to earn a lot of money without getting sent to prison is probably to marry a rich person who is about to die. Doesn't take a genius to figure that one out.

I often feel crazy because I think Superman and Spider-Man 2 are still the best superhero movies by a comfortable margin. Raimi's original Spider-man and Superman II I feel aren't far behind. There are only a few superhero movies I can think of where you get the feeling that everyone involved has actual human-like

My dad was white, my mom Mexican-American. They both spoke Spanish, but never bothered to teach their kids because they needed a way to talk to each other without us knowing what they were saying (must've been spies or drug dealers or something—I never fully understood this explanation).

Fuck off.

I meant idiots love Parker and Stone. You don't seem like an idiot.

Nah, you and many other progressives are so full of shit. Michael Moore is like the modern H.L. Mencken, but liberals are too self-loathing to celebrate him. Other than his flair for the dramatic (what idiots call "manipulation") his methods are not anything like fox news, because most of the time he's right—and

I think the implication was that THE ENTIRE SCENE—including the humping—involved the anus.

Arguably my favorite samurai flick (it's a pretty robust genre). Great cinematography as well. For me it's one of the most effective movies at drawing me in and making me forget the real world. Perfect example of how powerful black and white filmmaking can be.

I was being facetious about Japanese MMA, but I had no idea wrestling was also struggling. It's too bad, because the Japanese are really great, knowledgeable fans of both Pro Wrestling and MMA, but apparently they're fickle as hell too. Last I read, Sasuke was also struggling a bit in Japan.

Japanese MMA still exists?

This was a great FOC. Glad to see New Japan getting some much needed stateside love.

John Wick. EOD.
