Yes, there is a schedule, which you can view from the in-game menu or via the Nintendo Online app. I usually watch for loadouts I like and then jump in on those.

It is glory and fury, tension and power. It’s the entire reason I like Splatoon 2.
Sleeping Baby is truly a gift. It’s all over the map there for a while. I’ll tell my son it’s your fault we kept getting Mt. Wario; he is not a fan.
So I picked up Nier: Automata on sale and uh, I was not ready for this. Gonna need to do Easy mode just to get to the point where I’m allowed to save because that intro is harsh, even for a Platinum game. Like I got through the intros of Bayonetta 1-2 and Wonderful 101, I did badly but I got through. This- will be a…
I just fought her; she’s one of the most unpleasant final boss fights I’ve ever gone through. It’s such an awful encapsulation of the game’s mechanics: it wants to do a first-person mode but has no idea how to execute it, it’s incredibly difficult and irritating but doesn’t realize it, the enemies are inordinately…
Hi everybody! It sure has been a while since I’ve had a free moment on a Friday morning to chat with you all. Things have been crazy around here. Not only am I chatting less about games, I’m actually playing less games, which is always a good indication that life is strictly too busy for me.
Nier isn’t as long as you think, apart from the replay/extra routes aspect.
I really wish procedural games like this allowed you to work from the seed, like Freecell, so you could revisit and share your favorite adventure. It would not be terribly difficult, and I don’t think it would break the game by any significant margin. Heck, it may actually extend the life for some players.
It definitely feels like a very new thing and took my brain some getting used to. I think the designers were pretty well aware of how much adjustment it takes, too, since the combat system takes a few hours to start opening up beyond throwing your axe and doing some simple combos. By the end, it’s surprisingly robust,…
Limbo is so cool. A lot of folks preferred its successor, Inside, but I think Limbo is even better.
My understanding is the WiiU doesn’t even let you create tourneys anymore, though I think you can still race. But it’s Switch only.
Inside does a great job with atmosphere too while introducing a subdued amount of color to the world. It might be recency bias but I think Inside outdoes even the fantastic Limbo in terms of aesthetic and story.
Limbo is oppressive, creepy and very well-done. Inside is borderline terrifying and shocking (especially at the end). I loved them both, but Inside stuck with me a lot more. Enjoy...?
Limbo is a truly fantastic game. Make sure to add Inside, the spiritual sequel, to your list of games to play after it as well. It usually goes on sale for 7 or 8 bucks every couple of months on the PS Store.
I hope you have a great time with NieR:Automata once you get to it! /cheer
Stinger!! Played that so much back in the day.. I was a master at blasting giant watermelon monsters and juggling bells.
I’ve never heard of Time Pilot before so I looked it up. It looks pretty darn nifty for its time! Reminds me of Gradius mixed with this old Konami NES shooter, Stinger.
First off, I should mention that we have a new Game Revue Club discussion over on the Gameological group on Steam: Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. Come share your thoughts here (or at the equivalent spot within Steam):
I, too, have been engaging in Part-Time UFO shenanigans, making it the first game released in 2018 (at least stateside) that I’ve played. It’s cute, it’s light, it’s a solid little mobile title. On that note I also finally deleted Animal Crossing Pocket Camp because it never really engaged in what makes AC games work.
Oh, some news for PS4 owners with PS Plus:
