I agree. Porsche is able to make a 911 Turbo (S) run forever around the track with tons of boost. GM is using the emissions aspect as an excuse to cut power after hard track use. Seems like they might have some concerns about this engine making it to 100K after some flogging.

I currently drive a Nissan Leaf as my daily driver and a 981 Cayman S as my weekend toy. I'd love to see you drive an electric car for a while. A Leaf is pretty boring, so I'm thinking either a BMW i3, Tesla Model S, or a Tesla Roaster.

Not a huge Viper fan, but a blue 1996 GTS with white stripes is about the most iconic Viper you can get. This car will definitely be a collector some day and command a pretty hefty premium.

Give me a Tacoma with a 2.0L diesel that gets 30+ mpg and I'll consider a truck.

I think it needs to be more specific.

You drive a Ferrari and shop at Walmart? Classy Doug.

Singer. End of discussion. I have to keep convincing myself my kids and my house are more important. Don't cash out my 401k. I feel guilty and ashamed just looking at their website. It's like porn.

$200k seems to be at an odd price point. I see this McLaren competing with the GT3 versus the 650S competing with the 458. If they could target much closer to the $150k range I think they would get a lot of potential GT3 buyers.

This. Ever since Red Dawn as a kid I've always thought the Hind looks evil.

I was recently on a road trip in the mountains with my wife and two kids. We were driving down Monarch Pass in Colorado (7 miles of twisting road) when I hear what sounds like someone trying to scream while drinking a glass of water. Suddenly I feel fluid running down the back of my neck and the lovely smell of sour

Woohoo! My 981 might actually start going up in value.

The new Porsche 991 GTS is one of the worst offenders. They murdered the back of that car. STOP IT!!! Too many letters!!!

I'll let you guys argue over all these silly scenarios. I'm going to drive my financed 2014 Cayman S.

Just an example.

Care to share any factual data? Or do you like to keep pulling this out of your a$$? Yes the 991 GT3 had several fires (I believe 5 in total) where Porsche replaced about 850 engines. This was a recall because of a bad component, not engine failures. Yes early 2000 911's can have an issue with the IMS, but the

Porsche reliability?

Exactly. You can get a decent 5 year old 911 for $50k. The new C7 for $60k or a Porsche Cayman. These cars are double the price of the average new. Cheap? No. But realistically affordable by a lot of ordinary people. A Ferrari 458? 5 times the price of a Cayman or C7. And that is just to buy the car. The

It looks way more like a BMW Z8 hard top.

All I can think of is Rick Perry running around naked, with a shot gun, like Will Ferrell in Old School.

I don't think I saw a single Porsche except the Carrera GT.
