Biden’s campaign slogan could just as easily be “Make America Great Again” as Trump’s, with the difference being the “Again” points to, like, the 1890s for Trump and to 2013 for Biden.

But again, that’s not him being a catalyst, because the battle was fought and won in the courts, not politics. He also came out in favor of same sex marriage after polling began to indicate that was the more popular position.

What we even refer to the “left” in the US is meaningless. If you don’t oppose capitalism in all of its forms you are simply left of center. AOC is left of center, Bernie is left of center. Most moderates are actually right of center and the Trumpers are far right.

Like Dr. Ford should have come forward before the Supreme Court nomination? Sometimes that's the way it works. You just want to live like it didn't happen until the stakes get too high and you feel like you have to step up.

Should these accusations be treated in a measured way? Yes.
