“Enter Erich Heuschele, the SRT vehicle dynamics engineering manager, who wouldn’t settle for a number generated by a simulator. Heuschele hustled the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat to a 204-mph two-way average on the 7.5-mile banked oval at the Transportation Research Center (TRC) near Columbus, Ohio.”

that’s cute. I know of an American sedan with an automatic that’s validated at 204mph.

You’re a highly polluting death trap.

Yeah, you’d think that grocery ad would be the complete opposite. Like, “this is the car you want to drive to the grocery, every chance you can get, because it’s so kick ass and fun to drive.”

I’m going to assume you can’t actually afford a Tesla given your uneducated opinion, so please, carry on boycotting.

“Following last weekend’s hasty Muslim immigration ban”

Clearly its brilliant.

OK so Dodge spends a marketing budget of close to $0, And TEARS OUT expensive parts from their car.

Then Sites like Jalopnik talk about it for MONTHS, and everyone gets all riled up about it.

And then people will buy the cars because of all the hype.

And Dodge makes millions off of barely any

Even if it is just a marketing gimmick who cares? This is a small team of engineers doing what they can with what they got. Just the fact that they built a hellcat in secret then got it green lit for production and now they are making a widebody single seater demon.....I think that is pretty cool.

It’s NOT AWD.

That’s true. Sadly, the Viper was the Corvette’s only real competition.

May want to take your own advice there chief. This is bias. An analysis would have used fact based opinion without the political slant.

I hate to be that guy but the USA is a democratic republic.

This is car related, but come on. This isn’t a Muslim ban, it’s a ban of 7 countries that have had issues with terrorism, and a general dislike of America. Do I agree with it? No. But if you’re going to report on this, at least try and not show your bias. Please don’t turn this into Gawker with cars.

For cryin’ out loud, you know it’s not a ban on Muslims! It’s a ban on countries that have terrorist problems. Your bias is showing!

I’m ambivalent towards the government determining what fuel economy my vehicle should have. The emissions out the tail pipe, on the other hand, I’ve come to accept as being absolutely necessary. That being said, there are quite a few vehicle configurations we don’t get in the US due to CAFE and perhaps relaxing or

An 18 year-old who was over twice the legal alcohol limit, speeding at over double the posted limit crashed and killed another person. He was just sentenced. He got 4 years.

Thanks. Yeah, that engine note. This has to be the sweetest sounding 4 cylinder out there, especially for an econobox. Sadly, I wasn’t able to spec a manual with mine as none were in the area at the time. FCA did massage the software on that Hyundai spec’d 6 speed auto, and Holy crap does it snap off the gears fast

You misspelled Obama.

I happen to own both. They are completely different cars, with a different corresponding fun factors. One isn’t better than the other, just different.

The BRZ is better in the corners. I traded in a 2010 WRX for a 2014 BRZ and got 4 of my friends to do the same (with 11-13's) within 2 months by letting them ride and drive my BRZ.
