No it wasn’t. The frame ,and suspension hard points are nearly the same since at least 1996, with the biggest changes over the years being addition stiffening. The only “completely new” thing on a gen V is the carbon body, everything else is has just been slightly upgraded.

My neon SRT4, which was possibly one of the funnest cars I’ve ever driven. This is because it had the personality of a never-tiring puppy; always eager to run away, extremely resilient, and loved barking. However, the drawbacks of said never-tiring puppy is that on the racetrack, it was hard to keep on straight line

Seems like you’re misinformed on some of these. On any electronically controlled auto transmission, you can shift from R-D or D-R while the car is still moving. They’re specifically designed to do this and will even lock you out if the car is moving too quickly.

And explain to me why the 4 door JK/JL is NOT the right vehicle for most of these people?

Too pricey for me, but the price itself is totally justifiable. JL is a huge leap forward in capability, comfort and efficiency. Heck, even the doors and hood are now aluminium, and the tailgate is magnesium! That is freaking awesome.

Chrysler doesn’t need your “forgiveness” because they did nothing wrong. Had they went with a 4 door only, then yes, but the fact that they still offer the 2 door, even with JL, is wonderful. Like David mentions here, the 4 door Wrangler is one of the most important Wranglers since it not only saved the Wrangler

So instead of hating the person buying the wrong vehicle because they’re insecure, you hate the car? Interesting...

So you love a unibody 4 door toaster with a Wrangler drivetrain, but would gladly crush an actual Wrangler just because it has 4 doors? Fascinating...

I used to think 4 door Wranglers were a bit blasphemous until I saw a few get around Moab as easily as a 2 door. Now I actually praise them as David does here, not only because it makes Wranglers livable, but because they actually surpassed the 2 door on certain obstacles.

The WRX, FoST, Mustang, SRT4, Civic, S13, and many more! Heck, even the Corvette is more of a bromobile than a Viper.

An SRT caliber is not a neon. Calibers were slow, heavy, torque steering boats while the neon was a cheap, but quick turd that could embarrass Camaros and mustangs!

She definitely ain’t a gold digger.

Sounds like you just didn’t like the engine. Have you driven the same vehicles with the same engine, but with an automatic instead? It’s no different.

1) What? Rubber band effect? I’ve never had an issue keeping my speed and accelerating smoothly with any CVT I’ve driven.

Why do they suck? Give me a few reasons as to why a CVT sucks more than a standard automatic.

Yes I’ve driven both. I somewhat understand preferring an auto for performance reasons, but for a commuter car, I don’t see any reason to hate a CVT. They don’t shift, so they’re more comfortable and can potentially be more efficient. Another interesting thing about CVTs is that if you need to accelerate, when the CVT

So you’re okay with an automatic, but not a CVT? You old folk are fascinating...

Calm down there granpa, the retirement home is back down the street.

Do it faggot.

the Gen V, like the one here, has traction control, but traction control is a reactive system, so when a car with as much power and torque such as this breaks them loose, the traction control can’t do much.
