The Viper is actually well executed, it’s just too good for idiots like this that are used to soft cars.

That’s because it’s easier for them to sit under a tree handing out 5mph speeding tickets instead of actually helping the community.
5'11" here and I have no issues.
You should be driving a Kia, from Summit Place Kia! From Summit Place Kia!~
Most of those people are shitty drivers. I’m not a good driver by any means, but I don’t find the Viper difficult to drive at all as long as you have a general understanding of vehicle dynamics, pay attention the whole time, and understand what torque is.
Michigan’s stand against direct sales is one of the many reasons I hate this dumb state. Easily one of the worst states in the Union.
Correct, it’s all about the FEELZ. The Camaro/Mustang feel big, numb and heavy, while the 86 feels small, light and tight. And I like ‘em tight ;).
Not sure about the EgoBoost Mustang, but the FoST comes with Eagle F1 tires, which suck, but don’t suck as much as the Primacy’s on the 86.
It’s not the pad or rotors he was worried about, it was the fluid. He probably boiled the fluid and started to feel a spongy brake pedal, and since he was driving the car back home, he probably wanted to play it safe.
Uhh not sure where you get this “track” info from, but the few open track days I’ve been at, my 86 typically ends up being quicker, or at least significantly more consistent than the Camaro/Mustang. Last track day I went to, the Camaro driver, who is a much better driver than me, was having a hard time shaking me off,…
Agree on the engine not compensating enough for the AC, mine has nearly stalled a few times due to the load. Also agree on the car being stiff, but that’s not a bad thing for me, I hate soft cars.
I don’t, my 86 nearly stalled on my driveway one day when I turned on the AC! Seems like their engine compensation is not as aggressive as it should be.
Having been on a track, the Camaro’s weight does hurt it in turns. While the Camaro could pull away in the straights, it did not do so well in braking and turning. The driver in the Camaro is a better driver than me and even he complained, especially after having to sit out the last two sessions due to his brakes. For…
I balance the precision of the FT86 with the roughness of my Viper.
Yes, it is heavier and probably not as rev happy as the AE86, but that doesn’t make it boring. I’ve never had the pleasure to drive an AE86 because most have been ruined by flat-brimmed hoonigan bros, but I’ve driven plenty of cars on and off the track, and the FT86 is easily one of the funnest I’ve driven.
“It feels too heavy, lacks a rev happy engine, lacks the snappy nature, and all in all is an extremely boring vehicle to drive.”
Function over form. Over 1,700 lbs of downforce at 177 mph!
Diffusers are even sexier once you analyze them using CFD. Little-to-no drag and good amount of downforce, especially a low yaw angles.
The WK and W166 were initially developed together between Chrysler and Daimler, but once the two companies separated, each took their own spin on the platform, Daimler focusing on luxury and power, and Chrysler focusing on volume and offroad capability.
So you think you’re smarter and more knowledgeable than both Mazda’s and Toyota’s product development teams? Get over yourself.
