You mean when Peter and Sylar charged at each other ready to battle only for the scene to cut away and all we see of the “fight” are colored lights shining from under a door? And how they did that exact same thing AGAIN in a later season?

Huge letdown of a finale.  There was one character that had absorbed the abilities of several others against a character that could mimic the abilities of those around him.  I was anticipating them each rotating through several different powers in the battle.  Alas, what we got was much more pedestrian.

Honestly, you didn’t really miss much. It was very much a generic TV drama that vaguely gestured towards superheroes and comics as a concept. It felt fresh and compelling at the time, but genre TV has gotten much more *confident* since.

Most disappointing ending to an exciting build-up. You had two characters with ALL the super powers. You have to let them do more than just punch stuff. Same issue with Harry Potter wizard fights that just involve pointing their wand lazers at each other and seeing which is stronger. You’re wizards for pete’s sake.…

I never gave Heroes a chance. I thought the show aped so many superhero comic book aesthetics (they even had a tie-in comic) to the point where 1) the show looked generic to me and 2) there were so many comics that I would have loved to get the TV adaptation at the time, but back then most studios were still hesitant…
