And arguably that’s what happens in the main Star Trek timeline.

United was handing out Stroopwafel cookies a few weeks ago. Very tasty.

The best meal I’ve ever had on a flight was on a Japan Airlines flight. Fresh noodles and a main protein with DELICIOUS fruit and a side salad. They also served fresh miso soup out of a thermos. I wanted to weep because it was so refreshing.

I think the implication is that they fight for brood dominance- multiple eggs laid, but the “strongest” will live, ensuring better odds for it to pass on its genes later on. they also come across as a fairly far-scattered and isolationist species in adulthood anyway; would you judge our species on the first few days

I don’t think we have any idea what sort of species would be likely or unlikely to become interstellar travelers. Assuming that the human path is the only way to go is unwarranted... especially since we seem less likely by the day to reach that goal.

I love that this episode was inspired by ALIEN3, from the secretly infected castaways to the hallway chases and the sad ending in which a major, infected character sacrifices themselves. That said, I didn’t like losing said character.

Maybe that violence subsides as the alphas mature with the species prioritizing physical primordial dominance at youth with intelligence/cunning taking the lead as the brain develops. Think of it as similar to the polar opposite of Vulcan Pon Farr.

But if you make a species too savage and vicious (where they literally eat their own in a battle for supremacy) then that species would be highly unlikely to develop intelligence much less become warp capable inter stellar travelers.

I think that’s where the current writers have taken it too far in ST: SNW at the

They can be both. Klingons are just somewhat slightly less savage than the Gorn and the Federation do not take their intelligence for granted.

All they needed to do was put some makeup on a few Tokay geckos, and you’d have all of the blood and horror you could desire.

I think ST:SNW needs to remember that the Gorn are also an intelligent space faring species with a developed society, and not get too hung up on the Alien-meets-Jurasic-Park aspect.

I just realized I forgot to take into account that this is for 2 servings so that $1.75 comes out to more like $.88(rounded up) per serving.

Agreed.  All that effort to come up with a pointless comparison.

HelloFresh paid them to write a glowing review, to hell with facts and math.

Disappointed that this isn’t about Accepted, the Justin Long vehicle featuring a young Jonah Hill.  Also Blake Lively is there.

Absolutely I’m sympathetic to the students dealing with a system that is stacked against them. But I can ALSO see why some students felt an obligation to come clean. I can definitely understand why some didn’t, for the exact reasons you stated, and I completely get that mentality and have sympathy for them. But this

Also, why students eventually DID talk.

From the NYT article on the case:

I’m still surprised Solo didn’t do better than that. It’s not a bad movie by any stretch, but probably works better if you just think of it as a heist film rather than origin story. Also pretty dumb that everything we know about Han Solo originated from his very first adventure.

I could get behind this. Catered dinners are almost universally awful, just given the logistics of getting a mass amount of food ready to serve at the same time. Appetizers and some sides (sadly not fresh vegetables) perhaps fare a little better over the course of an evening in things like chafing dishes.
