I’ve spent years trying to spread the love for that movie as well.

The Caffeine Spider doesn’t really get why Dave Foley is turning into Jodie Foster.
Here’s where I plug The Wrong Guy to fans of Dave Foley everywhere. It’s my go-to movie that nobody heard of that’s just joke-after-joke stupid-hilarious. Kevin has a brief appearance as well.
If I had more stars...
“Bill?”
K.I.T.H.: Knight Industries Two ‘n a Half. It’s a talking Trans Am but it has a lisp.
It all comes down to his face. I have to hand it to Foley--his face drops into such utter despair whenever the song is on and he’s just staring off. It lends the thing a whole other level that is so depressing and also so perfectly Kids in the Hall.
It’s not meant for the psychopaths, it’s meant for the “good guys” who would all start shooting each other if they all drew during an active shooting situation.
I just remember a cinema full of English people bursting into laughter at that point.
he gets to deliver
threefour of the best lines
I would also mention his small but effective roles in The Place Beyond the Pines and Killing Them Softly (both from 2012). I found him particularly good in Pines, as the increasingly menacing (but subtly played) corrupt veteran cop trying to get Bradley Cooper’s do-right young cop to “play ball” with his fellow…
I’m glad Heartbreakers made the list. This movie is much better than you think it’s going to be, and Liotta is a scream while at the same time playing completely to type.
There are a few obvious reshoot scenes in Cop Land, and one of them is a scene where Liotta has to spell out the entire backstory of the movie/Stallone’s character to Stallone (a backstory that any attentive viewer could have gleaned by that point, but clearly test audiences/Harvey Weinstein couldn’t.) He does an…
He’s so great in that game.
No Escape
I would be remiss to not mention Rays performance as Tommy Vercetti, the first great Grand Theft Auto protagonist. There would be CJ or Niko without him and Ray did a really solid job in an era where video game voice acting wasn't respect.
Ray was great in almost everything he was in, but that “cooking” scene near the end of Hannibal will haunt me till the end of time.
I also thought he was really good in As Good As It Gets.
Besides Goodfellas, obviously, loved Something Wild and Narc. Rest in peace.
It was only a small part, but he was really great in KILLING THEM SOFTLY too.
