I’m not even going to try to top this.
I’m not even going to try to top this.
While “an eye for an eye” is tempting, it’s a bad model for society.
I’m with you on SCOTUS appointments. I’m just sick and tired of that being the major reason to vote for a president, to get SCOTUS crumbs essentially. Like, maybe one day in the future SCOTUS will order us to stop torturing our prisoners in longterm solitary confinement. That would be a huge victory. Wouldn’t solve…
I’ve never been in that situation to accept such things. I couldn’t say what I would do if I was in their position. I’d like to think I wouldn’t accept it, but money corrupts everyone and no ones perfect. That’s why we need rules preventing this kind of thing and also stricter campaign finance reform more generally in…
Here’s the source:
I see what your saying. That 150 million I referenced, however, wasn’t money given to her campaigns for her to get elected. That specific amount was money given to her and her husband personally for speaking fees at private, Wallstreet events. It’s legal bribery. If you believe money corrupts, this is the most…
The sentiment is fine. White supremacy and white privilege obviously exist. However, being lectured about privilege by a millionaire, white woman who has a decent chance at being the most powerful person on earth is FUCKING INSANE. This election is driving me crazy.
Also: if you haven’t seen it, definitely watch Killer Mike’s six-part interview with Bernie.
HAH. Hillary might not be “asking anyone to vote for her based on her gender,” but her people are certainly relying awfully heavily on the “but Bernie’s supporters are SEXIST” argument. Listen, I’ll happily vote for her if she wins the nomination, and a Clinton presidency would probably be no worse than Obama’s…
Chicago deep dish isn’t pizza.
It strikes me as a little disingenuous that so many of us who supported a very unqualified Barack Obama (including me) are suddenly now all about the qualifications.
This is why people get so fucking annoyed with progressives. You don’t have to die on every damn hill. Indelicately phrased or not, I think we all agree that one’s genitalia has no bearing on one’s ability to be President. While we squabble over this bullshit, Ohio just passed a bill to defund Planned Parenthood and…
He is not wrong.
Honestly, Senator Sanders is the only person who I think would characterize me, a woman running to be the first woman President, as exemplifying the establishment
I was at Morehouse last night and heard the speech. The reaction to the word uterus is really ridiculous. Killer Mike’s speech was amazing, just like his other introduction of Sanders when he was in Atlanta on November 23. Focusing on it reduces and confuses the point.
Undecided voter here who is trying hard not to get involved with internecine Democratic turf wars, but-
Can’t wait for Natasha Vargas-Cooper to not really bother research the story then do a snarky, irritating ‘expose’ where she softballs/fails to properly question a crucial witness.
Disliking popular things doesn’t make you more interesting.
I don’t doubt for a minute that he intended to kill his girlfriend, but jesus, the thought of an appeals court being able to upgrade or reverse a jury’s verdict just because they disagree is frightening. It makes me appreciate our criminal justice system a little more, no matter how broken it may be.
Read the damn article. It’s way more serious than that.
