His DNA was found in bite marks on her back and scratch marks on her torso. While that certainly doesn’t prove anything conclusively, it’s a far cry from “none of his DNA was found on her”.

But add the fake/planted rape kit to that and you have to admit, it’s hard not to question the accuser’s credibility.

I think when you push past all the posturing along with the rabbit trails and DNA bag drama...the report that her rape kit does not contain Kane DNA points us all back to the fact that more than likely this is a false claim with no merit. A set-up / money grab.

Oh shut up

remember that great gif she had during last nights debate tho

She can get it. A billionaire AND he is like 6'5"? As a tall lady I find this to be appropriate man-height. Drake is like 6'0" like why even bother?

Can I yell at her for voting for the Iraq war

How can you be pro death penalty AND anti-abortion?

I have a feeling this author likes provoking a reaction, since any sane professional human would have asked if it was ok to bring a baby before hand. Here’s an idea: If you have a newborn, skip the conference. When I had newborns, my husband and I had to sacrifice a ton of shit: time, money, social and professional

Notice I said that we should all advocate for decent child care. I want that, not people arbitrarily bringing infants to conferences (which other people paid a lot to attend) or while they teach college classes (ditto on other people paying a lot of money)

Exactly. I agree that the childcare situation in this country is sad and we need better options for working-class women. I even agree that employers should be flexible about children in the workplace in emergency situations.

But if he can’t walk....what is he supposed to do? Switch to a manual wheelchair when he’s drinking?

Every conference I’ve gone to where people bring babies and older children, the back of the conference room becomes a makeshift play area, with blankets and toys strewn about, and children making noise. It is a HUGE distraction and disrespectful to everyone else there who is trying to concentrate on what is going on,

For me it comes down to one point: Did the author specifically ask whether she could bring the baby? If she did, then sentencing her to a breastfeeding room without warning is a jerk move on the part of the organizer, no question.

I returned to an article I’d read recently about Washington State agencies allowing parents to bring infants of up to six months to work with them.

DISCLAIMER: I do not have any babies but I’m kind of in baby fever right now (!) and actually volunteered to sit on a plane next to a baby like a crazy person. So this is not coming from hate.

Look, I love babies. I like moms (some of them). But if I was invited to speak in from of hundreds of people, do a book signing, and participate in an intense professional conference, I’d arrange for child care for the day. No, you can’t bring your baby to work, sorry. That includes adjunct teaching. Advocate for

I’m worried the government is sometimes out to get my people but I’m American Indian so the government has been out to get my tribe. Almost getting your whole tribe exterminate does tend to make you paranoid.

Given all that we know about mass incarceration and over-policing, I’d be surprised if the average black or brown American didn’t think the government was out to get them.
