If you go back and read the Iwata Asks interview for it, the developers outright state that it was made in response to what the trends were in JRPGs at the time (it was released on the heels of FFXIII). Here’s a solution for nintendo, make the boxes international so that you can dispatch units from territories that have available stock to those that are selling out.

This is a good move but it really should be a permanent one. This is a full priced game with a season pass. Applying a free to play model to the game is outrageous. I hope, however, that this sends a message that his loot box crap won’t fly. I doubt it, though. EA will just reinstate it and publishers will keep trying…

I think my biggest hurdle for the multiplayer was adjusting to how the game felt coming off Battlefield 1 and a few other games that have a bit more weight. This is an arcade game and it feels like one.

For what it’s worth, I was definitely enraptured by the ride and had fun. Space combat is super fun and there’s a few levels of the ground game that I like.

Making the adjustment from the PS4 version to my Switch was odd at first; the pixelation definitely threw me for the first few matches, but I’m used to it now. I’m personally glad they prioritized framerate over resolution.

Not sure what those guys on Reddit are complaining about but games like this just feel right on the switch... keep them coming
