Then we’ll know it’s awesome is what you mean.

They have so many shows to not cover!
Nah.
As Oliver points out in his segment, Charlotte and Karen Pence are making a book tour stop at Focus on the Family, a notoriously homophobic organization.
So your assertion that the book has literally nothing to do with Pence’s sordid policies is literally incorrect.
This is fair game.
Oliver’s book isn’t taking away from Pence’s. Most Pence supporters were probably going to buy the original, but most liberal leaning media viewers will probably buy Oliver’s; there is no real overlap. Oliver can just say, “Our book is outselling his, which should let him know that America does care and support gay…
I am positive that the whole ordeal has raised the profile of the original book, and they’ve likely sold more copies (which means more money for charity).
It’s hard to imagine that the sales of the gag book are eating much into the sales of Charlotte’s book. I can’t think that very many people were going to buy the latter, but then found out about the former and chose it instead.
Pence’s book will sell millions more copies as a result of this.
They’re both for charity.
They also love Freedom of speech. As long as you aren’t gay. Or liberal. Or a woman. Or black. Or not a Christian.
What about that trip for two to Lake Havasu in Arizona? He could’ve gotten some killer trim with that sweet jet ski, hoss.
Just saw Game Night. Funny with a decently bonkers story and some nice touches like establishing shots that make the city look like a scale model.
Annihilation is ... Think of Arrival crossed with Predator. This is both as interesting as it sounds, and as uneven as you’d expect.
Now someone please give Claudia her own show, dammit. Does her mother have to enter her in a competition to get her own series?
I accept your cold take, with a clarification: It is in the bottom quarter of episodes, but is still better than the best in many other shows that I enjoy; and the song was intended to be barely passable music as part of the joke.
My grandfather looked kind of like that, stayed stateside to design fighter planes and spent his spare time fucking your grandma. So what does it really matter?
Prince was a guest on The Electric Lady in 2013, he was working with her on this album, it’s a long way from that Kid Rock song or whatever. He worked with her. Lots. He was partially responsible for finding and nurturing her career.
It is different because whenever that terrible fucking Kid Rock song starts, we all collectively go “Ooh Werewolves of London” and turn up the volume. And then we get mad and change the station and swear at our kids in the back seat.
And here I was, thinking that Janelle had merely purified herself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka.
What, is she runny or something?
The whole profile in which this appears is insanely poignant. That this isn’t the most compelling point is a testament to that piece.
