The panel was called “Women Into Comics” and had nothing to do with The Mary Sue. That you can’t even get that basic fact correct really harms the legitimacy of the more detailed things you say.

This is the level of disruption:
1. The panel hypothetically asked a question of MRA’s.
2. Alison (of Honey Badgers) said she was an actual MRA, and could answer the question in the concrete if they liked.
3. The panel enthusiastically agreed and asked her to speak.
4. They spoke and the panel agreed on many points.

They didn’t talk over them. They were invited to talk:

Why they were saying it: Because she was a female comic author and was hypothetically asked a question which she was then asked to respond to in the concrete by an enthusiastic panel.
