Ya, I agree with that. I just was annoyed so much throughout because of the smart people doing dumb things aspect. I'm usually okay with suspending disbelief in shows like Dr. Who, but the last few Sherlocks have gone beyond the pale. The messy storyline that came "together" at the end through juxtaposing nonsense

I mean, you're right in general about the sequence of events and the sorta reasons they apparently happened. Sherlock experienced loss and trauma at the hands of a sibling so became repressed to deal with the trauma. The sibling was negatively affected in a different way so rather than repressing becomes obsessed.
