But Avatar isn't like other sequels is it? It is driven entirely by the director, who's given unlimited time and money to do whatever he wants. This isn't the same as TMNT

Frankly in a world filled with reboots and remakes it's kinda great that Cameron is free to do what he wants with this series. He's also earned the right to not have every movie of his be so heavily trashed before it comes out
Lots of directors put their name on these films, but from all I've read Nolan basically leaves them alone and doesn't seem terribly bothered. They aren't his problem, or his fault.
I'm shocked how quickly making female action movies has become a thing. Awesome.
Did they rewrite the whole thing in the few weeks between BvS' release and the beginning of work on this? I don't see how they could change much of the movie this quickly, given that every change impacts the 700 other films they are making.
Two things:
1. I'm surprised Nolan gives a shit about the DCEU. He seemed pretty much done with comics and I assumed he put his name on these movies as a favor to WB.
2. Where is WB in this whole thing? I would've thought they would listen to Nolan
Eh, you're right. Also, we wasted too much time discussing this useless Universe.
Emma Stone as a nod to the Japanese legacy of it.
Don't get me wrong, the movie is terrible, with shocking writing, helpless editing and should be a good example of why studio interference is a good thing sometimes. All I'm saying is, in a movie so overfilled anyway, they were right to limit the Justice League characters to cameos, if they had to be in it at all.…
What I have learnt really, and this applies to fundamentalist people of all faiths, is that religion is basically tribal. It's more important to hate the correct people.
Originally they had Tom Hardy for Flag.
Viacom owns CBS.
but equally harmless
Batman Begins did succeed with giving Bruce time and failures before he became Batman
Or they just do what Mad Max did and have a new character take over from Indy
I feel like the only person not bothered by that- the 'trailers' themselves were pretty good, and they managed to do franchise building without harming the plot too much(like Thor's bath in Ultron) It does make me wonder why they didn't go with post-credit scenes though
Captain America movies have the best action in the MCU, but the Batman beat-down to save MARTHA!!!! was beyond spectacular. More of that would be great.
and how do you only nominate key but not peele?
Rhea Seehorn?
Especially given they nominated Bill Maher and even Seinfeld, who probably didn't even bother campaigning.
