That scene was terrifying, particularly Bane waiting as the child sang the anthem. Nolan's stuff is emotional, and his Batman movies had loads of interesting war on terror subtext(and some shockingly bad occupy wall street subtext)

Question: If you could select one director to do this movie, who would it be?
The last half hour was yellow CGI being puked around the screen while we waited for Doomsday to die.
Nolan's done action stuff far beyond Emmerich's ability, whilst ensuring the story around the exploding makes some sense.
Or, alternatively, we're being protected from an alien species that would overpower us.
And there's no way the EU grants Britain a trade deal without the same immigration rules Brits enjoy when travelling to Germany and France to watch football.
Given how that committee turned out I get why Sue wouldn't want to be on this. No more robust responses.
It was proven last season that James is massively popular, so perhaps the assumption is that the House wouldn't want to support somebody else
Only the animated section, and they're still making at least as many originals as Pixar, who've got only one original for the rest of this decade.
And one where Disney is adventurous and unique whereas Pixar is a boring old studio making sequels and milking its past success.
Frankly if Up had been a five minute short film it would still win the Oscar for best feature

A liar in a more homophobic country back then.
If tomorrow there was a news headline of black people or Muslims going to a restaurant with a gun to 'defend the constitution' then the 2nd amendment would be dumped so fast Fox News would be going back and deleting its own archives.
I really wish they would give her a darker side the way they gave Tom James. Right now she feels like a character from a different show showing up and breaking up the fun.
I don't know, I think people are searching for the little 'missteps' this season because Mandel is expected to write exactly like Iannucci, which has thankfully not happened.
If Iannucci had written this exact episode nobody would've complained. It's all about perspective.
I know she's supposed to be the only honest, decent character on the show, but I find Catherine so infuriating I have great sympathy for Selina.
Does it help that Disney is doing the new stuff? They've surpassed Pixar now anyway.
The Devil Strikes Back
The dark, gritty sequel, this time in IMAX 3D and built to Chinese specifications!
