Best case scenario this makes a ton of money and gets him hired to a better franchise movie from where he can build his own brand.

For some reason I still think the studio cast Freeman and Caine in order to make people think this was a Chris Nolan movie.

Problem is they're preparing a third movie.

But that isn't exactly how it works- the directors who get their own tentpoles (Cameron, Spielberg, Jackson, Nolan) have to have name recognition, which comes from critical and audience support as well. If this movie makes money with shocking reviews, it will convince people of the Warcraft brand, not Jones' ability.

And something like The Dark Knight is probably far more terrifying and painful for children than Deadpool.

Here it got an 'approved for nobody' rating, because it's not okay to create sexy stuff for women.

But if it makes money then we'll end up with a bunch of Warcraft sequels, plus many more adaptations of 'similar' video games. Also, Nolan is the exception. The guy who made Jurassic World or Deadpool won't be getting a 200m budget for an original idea anytime soon.

Now I'm expecting a slow motion montage where shirtless Commissioner Gordon kills a bunch of shirtless villains in Justice League, with Snyder later denying that it is in any way homoerotic.
