Tophat? Tophat! Now, does the grappling hook come out of a cane? It doesn't need to, but it could be quite neat looking; or descend down (e.g.) telegraph poles by sliding with a cane hook. Either that or a blade/rapier/exotic rifle concealed in the cane.

All in good fun, but.... This is the same as falling from an airplane (teeechnically). What's important is how long the impact takes, and how the forces and pressures are spread.

I hope we can get a few new subclasses or expand the ones we have sometime soon. I have a few ideas that I'd love to see realized, but please feel free to ignore me (also, I'm not talking about supers here, but multi-use abilities that should consume some super energy with each use):

Mercury. In Relic Hunts in the Crucible (at least for now it seems), this is occasionally one of the PVP maps, but Relic Hunts are only available certain weekdays (as far as I've understood, you might want to google that).
