This is the best definition of “rape culture” I’ve read yet.

It’s a bit of a workaround, but at least the NES app has save states for all of its games, letting you do exactly that.

Really, if they could just alter Zelda II’s game over to respawn you using the same logic as a regular death (and not AAAAALLLL the way back at the beginning of the *entire* world map) the game would be infinitely more playable without losing any of the otherwise satisfying difficulty.

Don’t visit Comedy Works. Wende made comments last year at a women’s networking event for Junior League of Denver about how women comedians are not funny and she doesn’t respect them or desire to book them. It was honestly shocking, all the women in attendance ended up complaining about how misogynistic her views were

This is exactly why the Powers That Be want to continue to defang the language, and continue to use words like “inappropriate” or “bad behavior” when they really mean “sexual harassment” or “assault”.

What I learned from this article is that most of the people in charge of the comedy world probably don’t know the details of what CK did, either because they couldn’t bother to read the stories or because they willfully chose to ignore it. It’s a lot easier to forgive someone when all you know is vague details about

This fucking guy ... why couldn’t he just CHILL for a couple years at least? His plan might’ve worked if he gave it more time and wasn’t so damn thirsty to get back in the spotlight. The harder he pushes, the more unlikely his “redemption.

Thank you, Wende.

I don’t get what all these powerful people are afraid of. Mitch McConnell says he has no power to reopen the government without Drumpf’s permission. Untrue. Paul Ryan said he had no power to investigate the President. Untrue. These networks own the airwaves and say they have no power to turn down the President.

Or a laugh track.

SPLIT SCREEN FACT CHECK IN REAL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don’t give him air time or the time of day. Let him shout into the void. Besides, I’m pretty sure there are FCC rules against showing a fully exposed anus on public broadcast. Even if there are words coming out of it.

In 2014, most major networks chose not to break into such favorites as The Big Bang Theory and Bones to carry Obama’s speech about immigration policy, using the excuse that it was “overtly political.”

Ooh. It’s gotten almost like the fortune cookie game:

Yep! That he so indiscriminately uses the “fake news” accusation has robbed it of any potential significance. It no longer has any impact. Him calling the media fake news is both inevitable and meaningless. His most rabid supporters will eat it up, everyone else will ignore it, and everything will be the same as

“He calls us fake news all the time, but needs access to airwaves… If we give him the time, he’ll deliver a fact-free screed without rebuttal. And if we don’t give him the time, he’ll call every network partisan. So we are damned if we do and damned if we don’t.”

I would only tune in to watch that if I was given assurances he was dying from a ragestroke on live TV.

The news and television companies do not have to give Trump a spot. They’re PRIVATE companies.  And if Trump doesn’t like it he can build his own television stations. Freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom from consequences.

We’ll see who takes the money and runs.

Do I really need to post a screenshot of Splinter’s first page?
