T’Challa has never (in comics) been shy about announcing “I’m the Black Panther, the King of Wakanda and the badass who’s going to ruin your day” once the “We are Wakanda” cat is out of the bag.

There’s a throwaway line in black panther where Ross says he kept the fact that tchalla is black panther under wraps.
