And what did you do with that knowledge or tell them to do with it?

I agree with this. Like I said, I think it’s natural for people to feel sympathy for a friend, even if the friend is 100% in the wrong and brought their problems upon themselves. So there’s no sense in going out of the way to seek out their thoughts, and their views shouldn’t be viewed as definitive.

All of this. It’s all reprehensible and needs to stop, but indeed, we can’t paint all of these things with the same brush. If this continues to happen, the blowback is going to be horrible, and nothing will get any better.

Regarding Al Franken: His actions were horrible, but at what point do we can we stop painting everyone with the same brush? He was a comedian, albeit one that I never found particularly funny. He’s clearly joking in the one picture that I saw, and grabbing someone’s butt during a photo in the past sounds like a

I didn’t think he needed to GTFO last week, now I’m a more attuned to the idea. What really needs to stop is the idea that there’s no point in discussion, that this one way is the only right way to approach this. That’s going to kill us more than anything else. Can we all just fucking admit we don’t have the answer?

I won’t make any excuses for him, but I also don’t think every offense requires resignation as the only possible punishment. Have the Senate censure him so that he has a public black mark for eternity, let him do acts of contrition, and then let the voters of Minnesota decide next election cycle if they want him or

I’ve been waiting for someone to post a pet thread but I’m too impatient ;p

I don’t mind that she doesn’t believe it happenef, but a public show of support was an idiotic move. Let the investigation unfurl, support him as a friend during it. What does going public help? It makes it about you. Unless she has proof to bring to light, which she should do then.

Because they’re nice people; Jim and Pam are jerks.

Too many people confuse whiteness with general power dynamics. (See Nate Parker, R. Kelly, Donna Brazile, Park Geun-Hye, etc.)

Here’s the simple fact: The Washington Post did journalism the right way, and Jezebel did not.

“a very regrettable dispute between two neighbors over a matter that most people would regard as trivial,”

Proud to say I voted straight Democrat ticket in Virginia today; hope enough others did as well to make Northam our next governor.

In Saint Joseph’s Oratory in Montreal, QC, they have the heart of Brother Andre in a box in a glassed-in vault. People have pushed money through the sides of the vault, no doubt as compensation for favours granted by the now sanctified Brother Andre. When I was a little girl mrsfinch was taken to this famous site,

Wasn’t sure how that was gonna work out for you, but damned if you didn’t stick that landing.

This is a bullshit misinterpretation of Paul’s position, and frankly, it shows just how dishonest you libs are.

I think there are probably a lot more psychopaths in the population than we would like to think.

The fact that the former presidents are either inadvertently or purposely mean girling 45 makes me smile for a moment. If I had more skill I would edit the “you can’t sit with us” to have the presidents’ faces.

Justin was like ‘She’s vulnerable. Perfect!’
