Completely agree. The Disney film was wrong because it was encouraging people to use a common logic error to get people to come to a particular conclusion, and I think that’s pretty dishonest. Disney wanted people to feel aversion and then transfer that to disapproval - but those two things aren’t related.

OMG, I’ve seen this movie plot like a thousand times. Guy can’t get his life together, dates every wrong woman and parties all the time, all the while he’s been in love with his best friend for decades and then one day just commits to his one love. Does that actually happen?

meh. He doesn’t actually feel that way. He’s just being charming and sweet in public regarding a co-worker.

meh. It’s probably one of those gray situations that young people always find themselves in: they took a temporary break and he thought he could mess around and she didn’t think that was the agreement. They didn’t set the rules for the break and so they messed it up.
