wow, thanks bro! cheers!

somebody better staple down those eyebrows before they fly off her forehead completely

definitely. I think it just gets tiring and repetitive for the majority of people after a few years. I wrote thousands of posts in my mid-20s but at 30 it’s no longer something I can as easily keep up with/deal with emotionally

I feel like the obvious answer to why it petered out is competition from other sites. Pre-2010ish, I also remember going to specific websites like Feministing to get my feminist news/opinions. Post 2011-ish, I remember going on Tumblr.

this move is ballsy AF, and I like it.

This is nice. Some good, clean, made-up boy fights. And also yes I’m surprised the # wasn’t mentioned cause that’s how I heard of this.

LOL. That definitely doesn’t seem worth it!

and a blog post from 2008 is proof I’m wrong?? You do realize that’s 12 years old and bizarre to share? I’m the one doubling down on something wrong in this instance? lol

listen. I worked in the fashion industry for 3 years and handled 50+ products a day, and had to list their material. I am telling you straight up that pigskin is very infrequently used for jackets, to the point that I never saw it, in the course of seeing several thousand leather products.

ok you are wrong, pigs are not really used for fashion leather, but otherwise ... whoops

I stan corrected today

lol... you guys are right. I Googled and realized I must have just read some badly sourced article before. Very annoying to be the wrong one...

unfortunately there is very little on the market that is actually a byproduct... most leather comes from animals never eaten, because it’s cheaper than figuring out a way to recycle the pelts (if you’re the meat producer). It’s not really any different in this sense than mink (maybe in the future though...)

LOL! I was skim-reading by then and missed it. “Fur has potency. It holds stories. It is haunted, just a little, by its history”

Did I miss something? What is the takeaway here... coyote heads reminds us to re-use more? This piece surely meandered far

all I can think is “she’s doing the Mean Girls cut-out, but to the back”

that’s fair.

I keep harping on this every time something is published about Uber, but they’re sort of right???

ah, so true, all of this.

she is fluent. A 7 year old isn’t “not fluent” in their native English just because they can’t hold an in-depth conversation about politics with adults. Fluent doesn’t mean you’re an expert in the language or can even pass HS in it.
