What’s wrong with you? When you go to a fancy restaurant, it’s because THEY have something YOU want. They charge a lot of money because eating there is a privilege. That privilege comes with following the rules. Some places want you to dress formally. Some places want you to talk quietly. Some places want you to not

They have a real problem with Toxic Moclaninity.

I like to say I’m a one trick pony, but it’s a pretty good trick.  Braised short ribs are fantastic.  I like parsnip puree with them.

Books are for fuckin’ losers, but the 2017 comic adaptation of Moby Dick is pretty great.

I think (I’m guessing - seriously out on a limb) for everyone on AV staff who would probably argue that it certainly is NOT an issue, the fact that Magicians and until recently The Expanse suffer from never-to-be-included on year end lists is due to their early year runs. The Magicians is coming up here again in

That episode where Quentin and Elliot grow old made me cry like a goddamn emotionally well-adjusted yet traditionally manly man baby. The show’s able to punch on a lot more levels than it should be able to get away with.

Danny Devito should be Detective Pikachu instead.

Booo, Danny Devito should be in Detective Pikachu instead.

He’s a Watcher he just left.

Hi Spoiler. I did that account, and later the Skrull Stan version. Sadly those accounts didn’t survive the Kinjapocalypse. But I think it would only be appropriate for Skrull Stan to make one last appearance to make The Smilin’ One’s passing from this reality. So here goes:

Not since David Bowie have I felt so genuinely upset about the death of someone I've never met.

Yeah, gay here too and I tend to agree with you. Sincerity from this bunch is weird and off-putting. Maybe that’s the joke. Also, Mac’s gay and dancing with a chick— that is SO gay.

I’m almost afraid to ask but what was up with all of those peaches randomly about in Mac’s apartment?

So I’m watching it, thinking the writing is maybe a tiny bit improved from the past couple of episodes, still feeling like I’m watching 1/4th of a real Sunny episode with Dennis “out of frame” and Charlie and Dee given one line each.

Oh, man. This looks good and all, but I will never, ever see it. I saw the first adaption when I was much too young and had nightmares for weeks. Now, I have a son Gage’s age and so nope, no way, no how.

My dad loves sambuca, but always partially cuts it with vodka to tamp down the sweetness.

Now playing

I’ll always be a sucker for “Something Borrowed, Someone Blue” for many reasons but especially for Niles and Daphne on the balcony. After that it’s probably “Three Valentines” just for the opening scene.  Niles and Eddie at their best.

Botham Jean hates the fact that he is dead.

If you want pure distilled King, PS is the one to go with (well, actually I’d say Night Shift and Skeleton Crew, but that’s kind of cheating). On a wordcount basis it’s his scariest and most upsetting.

I’m exactly half-way through Stephen King’s The Stand! It’s a long read, but such an engaging book, really taking its time to develop its characters. And it’s great to notice all the influence in things like The Walking Dead, although it was written in the 70's, but despite that it’s totally and scarily current!
